This beautiful jewelry box by Mele has an all wood frame covered with faux leather in a marbled brown color with decorative gold trim edging on lid. Back stamped with Mele emblem & bottom covered in green felt. Has single silver tone latch with gold fabric tassel attached to open the top section. Interior has different sized & divided sections covered in gold felt & one raised area held on by brass hardware with six smaller sections & piercings to hold earrings. Inside lid has tall mirror in middle & sides lined in cream colored satin with gathered pockets. Has separate drawer with two silver tone knobs & three divided sections lined in same felt. Dimensions 12.25”L, 8”W, 4”H. Jewelry box from 1950’s & in wonderful vintage condition. Few exterior markings & faint scrapes on lid, sides & edges. Slight faded markings on felt & satin, no tears or rips. No cracks, chips, cloudiness on mirror. See photos. Vintage statement piece to display beautifully on a dresser, vanity or entryway table.
